THE SUM UP OF MY COURSE 1 ON HCG

Good Morning,


Well I am very sorry that I did not blog the last few days. I was amazed at the emails and texts of people asking me when I was going to flog. It was a very busy week. My Texas family is coming in Thursday and my hunny's birthday is Halloween. I have a hyper 3 year old and an early teething 11 weeker!
Anyways,
Yesterday (saturday) I stopped HCG. I decided that with family coming in, halloween and taking Justin out to dinner that I had to go off for a week.
I am going to cut out carbs and go back to walking my 3 miles a day. Before I started HCG I would workout almost daily but with HCG and the low calorie intake I was too weak.
On November 1st I am going to continue HCG for 12 more pounds and then break for the holidays and then continue in the new year for the holiday gain plus 10.
HCG has proven to work and I love it! It's very hard and takes a lot of discipline but if done right you will lose weight FAST!


Here is my info:

I lost 22 pounds
Went down 2 pants sizes
Went down a whole bra cup size
Went down a top size


I feel much better about myself but am slightly flabby from the quick weight loss and not being able to workout. I am very anxious to work out!

2 WEEKS ON HCG

Well Tonight marks my 14th day on the diet!

Here is what I ate:


breakfast
strawberry smoothie- non fat milk, vanilla extract, strawberries and one truvia


lunch 
 turkey patty with brocolli and hot tea

dinner
strawberry smoothie (i was not hungry)

Well last night I had a huge headache and was not hungry at all so I had a smoothie instead of my normal protein and a veggie.
I think my body did not like the natural sugar before bed because I did not lose anything.

I will not be having a smoothie before bed again....

RESULTS SO FAR

DAY 12 & 13

Hello Loves, 
I have been so busy with mommy hood and my two little loves that I have had no time to blog.
I have decided that I am going to do one more week of HCG and then take a break. My Texas family is coming into town and it's my wonderful hubby's birthday so I don't want to be tied down on a diet. That will mean I have been on the diet for 23 days. I am very happy with my results and I will for sure do it again.
I recommend HCG to anyone and am actually coaching a few girls on it now.


I am not going to post what I ate because it's the same old thing.


As of day 13 I have lost 18 pounds!!!!
I have also dropped 2 dress/pant sizes and a whole bra cup size!~!

SOME OF MY FAVORITE RECIPES SO FAR...

Before I go to bed I wanted to post a few of my favorite things to eat while I'm on this diet. I have a few girls I am helping do this diet so I thought this would be helpful.


Italian Wedding Soup


3.5 OZ. of Meatballs
Chopped Spinach/Cabbage- allowed amount
Diced Onions
1 tsp thyme
Oregano
Garlic
Basil
Salt and Pepper
2-3 cups of broth
*May add any other additional Italian spice you would like*
Directions:
Add onions, garlic and about 3tbsp- 1/4 cup of broth to a small soup pot. Cook until onions start to wilt. Add spinach and stir until spinach start to wilt. Add spices and herbs. Stir until liquid is almost cooked off. Add meatballs and rest of broth. Bring to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste. This can be served with a small help chopped parsley and minced garlic.

Orange Chicken
100 grams bite size pieces chicken breast
1 orange
1/3 lemon
dashes soy sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp stevia/truvia
1/8 tsp minced ginger
dashes garlic powder
dashes onion powder
tiny pinch red pepper flakes
Directions:
Marinate (best in a baggie) chicken breast in ½ tsp grated rind of orange, 1 tbsp orange juice, 1 tbsp lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, soy, ginger, onion and garlic for as long as you can.
Pour marinade and chicken into a saucepan and sautee on med-high until chicken is done.  (8-12 minutes)  Great on salad with orange sections.

Shrimp Ceviche
1 to 2 lbs. shrimp, fresh or frozen, raw or cooked, peeled and deveined
2 large lemons, freshly squeezed, about 3/4 cup to 1 cup
2-3 large limes, freshly squeezed, about 3/4 cup to 1 cup
1 tablespoon fresh garlic, minced
1 cubanel or other mild to medium pepper, ribs and seeds removed, finely chopped
1 red onion, finely chopped (about 1 cup)
1-3 tablespoons Tabasco or hot sauce (more or less to taste)
4 large tomatoes, chopped (about 2-3 cups)
2 cumbers, peeled and diced into 1/2 inch pieces (about 1.5 cups)
fresh cilantro, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
fresh parsley, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
Thaw shrimp if frozen.  If using raw shrimp, bring a pot of water to boil and cook the shrimp for a minute or two until it turns opaque white and reddish—do not over cook the shrimp as it will be too rubbery in texture.  Rinse shrimp under cold water.  Combine juices of lemons and limes in a large bowl (not metal) or large Ziploc baggie and add shrimp.  Cover bowl or zip baggie and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinade.  Large shrimp could be cut into smaller chunks (remove tails if doing this) to speed up marinade time.
Add to shrimp the Tabasco, garlic, onion and pepper and toss/mix evenly.  Return to refrigerator for maybe another 30 minutes to let the flavors infuse the shrimp.
Before serving, toss in bowl the marinated shrimp mixture, cilantro, parsley, tomatoes and cucumbers and if needed, add sea salt and black pepper to taste.

Spinach Salad
400 grams raw spinach
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
1/3 c. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. (dry) prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Stevia to taste
1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions
:
In a bowel place 1 lb. well washed and dried raw spinach, (broken up and larger stems removed) add 1 medium onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings. Cover and chill in refrigerator.  For dressing: Add ingredients and heat the dressing until it starts to show steam. Just before serving, pour hot dressing over salad tossing gently to wilt greens. *Makes 4 vegetable servings*

Tomato Basil Chicken
100 grams cubed chicken
1 cup chopped tomato
¼ cup water or chicken broth
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1-2 cloves garlic sliced
3 leaves basil rolled and sliced
1/8 teaspoon oregano fresh or dried
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
Cayenne to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Lightly brown the chicken in small saucepan with lemon juice. Add garlic, onion, spices and water. After chicken is cooked add fresh tomatoes and basil. Continue cooking for 5-10 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste, garnish with fresh basil.

DAY 10

Well today I started adding 2 cups of water with apple cidar vinegar to my diet. I heard from Dr. Oz that it is a natural fat burner and people who added it to there diet lost 10 pounds a year without even trying. Sounds good to me!
I actually love the taste but take a TUMS with it since it's so acidic.
Today was a hard day. It was date day yet again and that was normally our day we went out and ate a delicious meal. Well not anymore! I still feel great. I swear that I get by with my 6 cups of coffee. 

Well here is my exciting list of what I ate today.

DAYS 8 & 9

Hello All,


Well I have been super busy with two kids and halloween activities that I forgot to blog last night.
The diet is going good. Today I reached my 13 pound mark. To celebrate this I ate 2 bites of pumpkin pie today!
I must say it was the BEST pumpkin pie of my life!

Hopefully I can lose 20 more. If only I could get rid of this loose skin! I just keep telling myself THIS TUMMY HELD 2 KIDS!!!

DAY 7

Well today marks 7 days on HCG.
As of today I have lost 10.3 pounds.
I thought I would lose more by this time but as I expected since Aunt Flow has come I only lost  half a pound since last night.
I am finally getting used to the low calorie intake but the cravings seem to be getting worse. Something about fall and pumpkin patches brings out my inner pumpkin pie eating fattie....

DAY 6

Well today Aunt Flow decided to come and pay me a visit.
I feel like I gained 5 pounds but I have not.

DAY 4

Hello All,
I am very sorry that I did not write last night. I am a busy mom of two and had one fussy little boy.
I did not know anyone was really reading this thing. I had a lot of people write me about why I did not blog.
Thank you for following my journey...
I am happy to say that this diet is getting a LITTLE easier.
I think that I am finally getting used to not eating.
As of this morning I have hit my TEN POUND mark!
I am so happy!



I am thinking that in 3 weeks I will have lost 30 pounds and then will take a 3 week break before doing it again for my last ten pounds.
This diet takes determination but is well worth it!

For my in between snacks I have created a recipe that I love.
I thought I would share for my fellow HCG dieters.
Here it is.


Katherine's Apple/Pumpkin Pie Wedges

cut up and de core 2 red apples into wedges
sprinkle pumpkin pie seasoning all over the apples
add 2 truvia packets
add a teaspoon of vanilla extract

let marinate for 5 minutes

put the apples on a baking sheet and make at 350 for 20 minutes.

AND ON DAY 3 MY INNER FATTY TOOK OVER...

Well on day 3 it happened....
I cheated. 
I had to.
I could no longer resist...
CURRY was calling my name...


Today was Justin and I's weekly date day.
It's our one day that we get a break and are kid/baby free.
I was a good girl all day.
Justin made bacon this morning and I stayed in my room and ate my apple.
He bought cream puffs and I looked away.
McDonald's is selling caramel apple sundays and I just ordered a coffee and looked at my skinny picture on  my phone.
But Justin made Curry and my inner fatty had to have some. 


I feel like shit now. I've been to the bathroom 5 times since I had it. I think my body is in shock. Now I am scared I will gain it all back. It's water under the bridge now and there is nothing more I can do. DAMN CURRY!!!!


Well here is what I ate today. So far in 3 days I have lost almost 7 pounds.

DIET DAY 2

Well today is day 2 on the hcg diet.
Today was very hard because we went to the pumpkin patch where they were having a bake sale. I am normally not a big sweets person but when your only eating 500 calories dirt with the right seasoning sounds appetizing. 
I wish I could say that I am starting to get the hang of the diet but it's still very hard. I am going to try to drink tonssss of fluid tomorroiw to try and fill up more. I am dreading tomoorow because it is Justin and I's date day and have no idea what I'm going to eat since curry house is out of the question...
God being fat sucks!!!!!

DAY 2. 5 POUNDS GONE!

FIRST DAY OF 500 CALORIE DIET RECAP

Yesterday I started the 500 calorie diet. I must say this diet is pretty difficult.
I spent most of the day having to down coffee just to be able to keep my eyes open.
I am hoping this is just my body getting used to the diet.

My husband said he was going to "try" to do the diet with me but later that night when my friend Rebecca and her daughter came the diet quickly became a thing of the past. MEN....

Well here is a recap of what I ate yesterday:

breakfast

turkey burger with lemon pepper seasoning and lemon juice
grilled mixed veggies
1 melba toast
ice tea with truvia


dinner
turkey burger with curry powder seasoning
asparagus and onion
1 melba toast
cup of coffee

8pm snack
3 bites of greek yogurt and 1 strawberry

One thing that I really miss is my diet coke. I was researching online for how to make my own stevia soda and then I found out there is a soda called Zevia. They make all the popular soda flavors but use stevia extract. I jumped in the car and drove to Whole Foods. $32 later I had my soda stash! (yes, whole foods is a TOTAL ripoff!) Let me tell you, I am starting to notice that you will drink anything out of desperation on this diet! It is DISGUSTING!!! But I will drink my nasty soda with a smile on my face if these pounds melt off!


Well this morning (saturday) I woke up dreading doing this diet again. I woke up wanting a giant omelette and bacon. When I stepped on the scale it became all worth it. THREE POUNDS GONE! GOODBYE!

HCG your a real bitch but so far I am impressed.

BINGE DAY 2

Well today completed my last and final binge day.
I am excited not to have to eat all that crap food but nervous about the 500 calorie diet.
Tomorrow morning I am going marketing and thanks to my sexy chef of a husband he has out together some delicious recipes for me.

I WEIGH WHAT?

Well this morning I woke up I instantly became anxious thinking that I had to weigh in after my 3,000 calorie binge day.
I walked to the scale, took a few deep breaths and stood on it. I just knew I would be at least 4 pounds heavier. I kept saying over and over again THIS IS THE DIET PLAN THIS IS THE DIET PLAN!



I took a deep breathe and looked.
HUH? WHAT? WAIT!? WHY? HOW???!!!

The scale said I lost 2.4 pounds!!!
OMG!

I am so excited! That's how much I lose binging! Imagine when I am actually on the calorie restricting diet!

So far HCG you have made me one happy girl!

DAY 1- BINGE BINGE BINGE!

Well today was my first day on the HCG diet. Today and tomorrow are my "binge" days. I thought that I would enjoy being able to ear ANYTHING and EVERYTHING my little (well big) tummy desires but boy I was wrong. This morning I had to force myself to eat. The drops make me not hungry and very hyper. I love having energy since I have a newborn and a VERY hyper 3 year old.


Now it is nearly 8 and I am totally disgusted with myself. All I want is a salad but it is not allowed. I feel like a blimp! I am dreading doing this again tomorrow. Right now a 500 calorie high protein no carb diet sounds delicious right now!


One of the hard problems I am realizing I have is that I am a TOTAL aspartame addict! On this diet I cannot have my beloved equal and am having to switch to truvia. I am going crazy! I miss my coffee with my equal!!!





Well now I will post everything I ate today.
